Save Our Souls

I hear the sounds of the bells, the beats, the drums, the prayers.
I smell the flowers, the incense sticks, the auspicious fire smoke.
I see the illuminating earthen lamps, the glittering lights from decoration.
All this doesn’t make me believe you,
doesn’t for once allow my conscience to absorb your omnipresence, doesn’t make me join my hands and bow my head in front of you.
It drives me to instead question you!

“Where are you?”

“Where are you when innocent children get killed?”
“Where are you when women are ripped off their souls?”
“Where are you when a brother fears his own brother, ready to chop him into pieces?”
“Where are you when the strong bonds of humanity strangle themselves?”

“Where are you?”

I hear not the bells but the shrills and cries.
I smell not incense sticks but blood.
I see not earthen lamps and glittering lights but fire, guns and corpse.

Hopes holding the broken ropes of faith,
with belief in their eyes and chants on their tongues.
Their hands joined to ask for help and mercy,
their eyes emptying out the endless emotions.

How long would one wait to see the bright lights descend from heaven to chase away the clouds of disparity?

The lives have been taken, given, sold, slaughtered but for how long?

How many sacrifices would it require a stone to turn real, a cross to stand straight, a book to break words into wonder?

I hear trumpets of celebration every now and then, but that was past, that became a ritual or may be a habit under the name of belief.
Would that dissolve only to become once said folklore?
Would that sublime only to be lost in the history of time?

Where is the justice? The justice of Lord!

They say sooner or later the justice is done, but how long is later? 1day? 1month? 1 year? 1decade? 1 life? 1earth?

May be eternity!!
Believes are shaken, faith is broken,
someday there will be no hope also. The countdown has begun.
It’s just a matter of time, a matter of generations and ages
before THE HOLY NAME would just remain on the tattered pages
rather than in the minds and on the tongues.
The hope is slipping from those hands like the water, drop by drop.
The belief is running out from the crevices like sand.
Even if You are there, you may be into the deep sleep of meditation, oblivious of your own creation,
forgetting your own promise, to dwell on your creation and halt the apocalypse,
or maybe only to just reverse the hourglass, and begin it all over again.
May be You are waiting for us to choke,
before all the sand passes through the pore.
Or may be to fill in, till the bottle neck arrives and that is when You
stop the time there forever, never to start it again.

Leaving behing the trail of broken beliefs and false faith,
Leads Your call of supremacy and silence of our untold sins.

living Right in a Wrong world

Sometimes being wrong is good! And being right?.....Well  that is not counted here you see!
:P

This is no quote or saying guys, but something that I discovered lately. Allow me all tell you how.

One evening I and my bunch of friends were sitting near the muddy, near developing, poorly maintained,  so called foot ball field in our campus. Few passionate people were into the game, running and chasing the ball. We were just into our normal chats until even we didn’t remember when the sun went down.
There was a construction work being carried out, a little distance from there, which had supposedly stopped by then due to the diminishing light. It was dark and a little quite there, so we had our part of ‘peaceful chats’, enjoying the silence and wilderment, though people walked behind us on and off.

Suddenly out of nowhere a guard with another fellow, came to us and told us to get up from there and go somewhere else. For one moment we didn’t listen to him, we turned and thusly he repeated what he said,” It’s too late. You people get up from here and go somewhere else. You are not allowed to sit here. It’s not safe.”
One of us was like, “Excuse me! Isn’t this place counted in college campus?”

This reply made him raise his voice and he retorted saying, “No, I was told you have been sitting here for quite long, so you better get up and keep moving. Sit in the other part of college it’s too dark here, you might get hurt!”
We made faces like (O_o). None of us is below 20, so it was obvious making that face. I was thinking in my head, my dad telling me when I was 10
Let’s go home beta, it’s not safe playing here at night, you might get hurt in dark

Since he was neither my dad nor was I 10, so I answered back,” See bhaiya, it’s inside a college campus not that we are somewhere outside, at some unknown place. We have not been here all day long.”
My friend whose boyfriend was also along, jolted out saying, “See we are four people, not one guy and girl, who could have been pointed out.”
      Fare share of dialogues indeed!
Nevertheless he was bothering us a lot and we were stubborn students who didn’t move an inch! Why should we anyways?!
Point 1.- We were inside college campus
Point2. -We were not doing anything ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’
Point3. -Common Man! We don’t listen to our lecturers and this fool expects us to listen to him! I mean What the Fish!

He kept on pestering us with dialogues like order from principle and director, you better don’t sit here or you will get into trouble, I will complaint. Suddenly one of my friend, got really pissed off and turned around saying, “ Abey ja jake daru pike soja!!”  (You go, get drunk and sleep!)

The rest of us went like OOPS!!
“What did you just say?” he questioned in a stern tone, “Ya I will get drunk and sleep!, now you wait  here and watch!” .  He took out his mobile and called someone.

“What did you say that?” , I asked my friend, “ mad or what?!”
“What yar! He will eat our brain and we will keep quiet?! He just pissed me off! Let him complaint to principle, director or my dad, I don’t care, my dad will always support me!”

“Oh! And ‘jake daaru pike soja’, will your dad support you for that too??”, I asked him.
 …..Pause…..
“YES! He will!”, “I could have beaten him up here only, if I could”, my friend went furious.
“You are nuts? What is wrong with you? He was just doing his duty, why would you think of beating him up for that? Calm down ok!” His girlfriend calmed the hot iron head, which was seriously required at that moment.

My third friend really got scared. Surprised as to what went wrong on all of a sudden, she softly spoke to me,” hey sheebs, maybe we should move from here?”
“It is okay yar, nothing will happen, why are you scared? Let him call whosoever he wants to, we will deal with it”, I calmed her down.
The guard was done with the calling part and was now standing and waiting, for that someone. His belly high up to his chest with pride, as if he had caught some retards and some devil would drop down from heaven and take us with him to hell.
In no time , few people arrived on the so called sight of crime. They included 2 more guards, college diary shop owner, and above all, their general, the security head himself! :P
“Ya wokay!  What is the matter?! “, he asked.
My friend got up and said, “See sir, we are not supposed to go out of the college campus late night and according to all rules and protocols, we are sitting inside the campus area. What is wrong in sitting here, we don’t understand.”
“ See that are orders of principle and director, this area has got construction work going on, you may get hurt at night, so sitting in this area is prohibited...”, and he went on speaking.

We all got up, and stood shoulder to shoulder, forming an opposition team. Before he could complete his sentence, my friend came forward and repeated her old words, “Hum koi galat kaam thodi kar rahe the, aur hum 4 log hai, group mein baithe hai, usmei galat kya hai?”( we are not doing anything wrong, we four were just sitting in a group and talking, what is bad in that)
I moved forward and said ,” Sir we didn’t know it was a prohibited area, you could have better put a warning board here, that could have been noticed by all.”
As soon as the army head opened his mouth to reply, a strong smell of alcohol filled the air. I giggled inside
what an irony man! We tell the guard to go and get drunk and he brings his superior who is already high! LOL!

What made us more surprised was when he said in his loosing-the-grip tone,” what did you tell the guard? Go and get drunk?! Is that what you say?”
I was like  hahahahaaaaaaa…..Look who is saying that?!! F*****!

I was dead sure others were into the same thought. After a few quarrels and cross firings, our honorable milkman came into the conversation, “Hey why are you fighting like this, go to your rooms ma! Next time don’t say anything wrong, and don’t sit here and create a scene like this!”

My lady friend, who was now hot with temper, bolted out saying,” You don’t speak in the middle! K! You sell milk at price more than the MRP. You charge us for the cooling. Isn’t this wrong what you are doing? And you tell us what is right? So you better keep mum!”

“That everybody does here, what would you do, go complaint to principle if you want to. “, he replied in a raised voice.
“We are not fools!, we are educated people! What will principle do? We will call Consumer Forum and complaint about you! Then you see how do you carry out your job!”, my friend bowled him off.
He literally went silent and kept mum. He had nothing to say and or may be freaked out.

Finally the so called security head asked our names, phone numbers, year and all details to give to the principle and told us to meet him next morning. He missed my admission number so I told him to add it on the list. He giggled at .., what to call it, bravery?! :P
He let us leave and told us to come tomorrow and meet the principle. As we were leaving we asked him, “sir which way is safe for going to hostel?  This way or that one?,” we pointed at the two direction. He laughed and said,” That way”, pointing to the one which was well lit and had few people walking around.

We turned aroud, looked at each other and started laughing our hearts out! No, it was no special memory; we were just feeling good, because we just blew them off!

I don’t ask you, if we were right in doing that or not, because no affirmation is needed, we were right in what we said and did!

Concluding my story, I think it was nothing more than a small incident, but what made our eyes roll were
First: They didn’t have proper reason to move us from there. Second: Agreed what my friend said to the guard was wrong, but what about their superior, who was himself drunk and was scolding us! Thirdly: what was milkman doing their instead of sitting at his shop selling diary, and who was he to command us?

Next morning neither did the guard recognized us, nor had their chief and principal had got some better work to do, so since the story had to be defined and justified, I wrote a blog out of it.

LiFE iN CoLD BlooD

The earth on which we survive
Owns the burden of life
The ball of fire I see every morning
Ignites in all a strife
The poison of rejenuation
Crops the weeds of motion
The urge in every living entity
To breathe in all situation
For whom shall this earth bear peace
The people are dead indeed
Their hearts are cold
Fakeness they hold
For infinity
Cold blooded – the hound of insanity
Cold blooded -rots in disparity
Half dead..their eyes closed to love
Their ears listen to pain
Their sorrow fuck them in disdain
Their fears their possessions
To lose what’s their passion
Spit on those fuckers
No one it’s them who suffers
Blisters bleeding wounds
Or there is silence numbness
They are just two of a kind
Laugh over their foolish dumbness
Betray them, stray them
Cheat them, defeat them
Coz they are cold blooded
Cold blooded-survivor of the one who is the fittest
Cold blooded-the creatures of this planet into a mess
Cold blooded – the hound of insanity
Cold blooded -rots in disparity
Rest in peace buddies
Cold blooded ROTS!!

Apology

It’s so indifferent sometimes that oblivious of reality, we actually end up hurting our loved ones to such an extent that they never expect. Before you realize, what wrong you did, it has already been done, just because you didn’t think twice before saying or doing it.
We sometimes take our dear ones  for granted.
Oh he loves me, i know everything will be fine soon, no need to worry.

No, it’ not what you are thinking, it’s something running at the back of your head. Sometimes people know that they did something wrong, yet they don’t confine to their mistakes, thinking it might hit their ego, to go against their own deeds or dialogues. They may think everything will be back to the norms, but actually people on the receiving side are most of the time, surprised and sad. Sometimes they retort and sometimes they just keep mum.
Take, for example, our parents. There must have been times when you would be like,
Oh Mom! Why don’t you understand? Why are you always telling me to do this and that, I know what I have to do! K!
Dad why you always think that I have done something wrong and not the other person? Why don’t you listen to me?

Mind you! That’s not your low, timid tone. That’s when you shout and yell! Parents on the other hand find it surprising or may be sad, that it’s so disobedient of their children, to be rude and shout back. Guess what is their usual killer dialogue after that??

Ya you have grown up now, I know you won’t listen. Do whatever you want! I won’t ask you anything from now on.

Strike 1! You are blown! Call it a mini- victory or whatever, but you have this guilt of hurting them a little, don’t you? ! No they are not tricks to bring you back to track, they actually feel bad.

I had a friend of mine, in our circle, who wouldn’t think twice before saying something about us. She would take it as a teasing, as a joke and laugh it away, on the other hand we would look at each other, with blank expressions. Irrespective of her knowing this fact about her or not, we eventually drifted away from her.
Point is not we didn’t value our friendship,  point is that, we realized, she didn’t value us and that she didn’t. We kept mum.
EGO! A small word with a big impact! Needless to say we all have a pinch of it in us. Some have some more. Self respect is what it is mislead by. Not realizing once what wrong they have done, there are people, who continue to prick like an invisible needle. Keeping mum, shouting back, nothing works with them. Even if they realize it, they won’t undo, they redo and reframe self, so that it doesn’t contradict with their own saying. These people are stern with their decisions and thoughts. No matter, if it’s killing them inside, they won’t reciprocate, or may be not until the other stirs them first.

A straight and forward solution – APLOLOGY. Say it, provided you mean it! + Do the talking, explain yourself and tell why you support your point. They will listen, they will contradict, they will thrush back. Be patient, listen to respond not to rebel.
Nevertheless, what’s wrong in apologizing?  Fearing you are proved wrong and killing your own ego? NO! it’s to be humble, except your fears and mining into yourself to be more constructive and careful next time. To mark your words and deeds, to be at peace with your inner self and with others close to you. That won’t make you a self-surrendering  soul, rather that will bring a level of confidence and maturity to accept your own mistakes on face and mending the loopholes you still posses.
Apology and sustaining it with its true realization brings out the best within yourself and others towards you.
So say it- Sorry Yar! Sorry mom! Sorry papa!.. I did wrong and listen to them, absorb it positively and see how you actually surprise people!

Take a chill pill yaar!

She rested her head against the window pane, watching the little drops of rain water racing down the glass, one after the other, speeding, stopping, curving, bending, but finally all falling down to the end of the window.
She was thinking of him. How he would cuddle her, pull her out of crowd to be with him, push her away and then bring her back, only to be closer.
Asking her to be with him 24*7 and behave like a child when she won’t listen
And finally to accept her as his love in front of the world without a hint of shyness or insecurity.
She remembered all the good times, dripped in them, relived in them, and smiled to herself. Not so late, a tear rolled down her eyes, and then another, she tasted the salt water.
Why this had to happen? Why me? Why did he leave? Things can always be sorted out right?
This time she didn’t wipe them off, to be easy and slow on herself, else it would make her cry louder, she let down the tears. There were commonalities between her and the window pane, only that the glass didn’t shatter out of thinking.

No guys, it’s not me, ya I know! It’s not you also. It’s some other X, Y, Z, who is so stupid to waste her or probably his time, thinking about someone, somewhere, sometime.
So this X, Y, Z ,maybe right now, this time, in the heavy showers of Bangalore or somewhere else, looking at the moon and stars, would be thinking about that ‘someone’ but WHY??!?!

Why are they thinking, why are they thinking at all! At days stretch and all night long!
Guys don’t tell me you never thought about someone like that. I am sure ‘Mr./Ms. Someone’ has already created their image in some corner of your head. Other way I won’t believe you.
Nevertheless my point is concaved upon thinking. People waste hours of time just thinking
Had I done that or Had I said that, would it matter to her/him,
Why doesn’t he understand? Why is she always so suspicious? What wrong did I say?
If you really think things can be sorted out, Do the Talking!..And Not Thinking!
Communication plays a key role in any relationship, and things would refrain to be normal unless you talk.

Say Sorry, Shun your Ego! Discuss and bring out the Solution..
Some things are left unsaidThey say, Really?! Well then a lot of things are better to be said!
Don’t succumb to your emotions and thoughts. They really waste your time, affect your personality and behavior, dump your attitude, decline your
esteem. You think, rethink, re-attempt, work hard to pertain it, sustain it, kill your time, kill yourself! And what not! They weaken you and you tend become perplexed!

Rowing up to somebody’s expectations is fine, until you are caught in a flood of emotions, and drowned in the tides of your own thoughts! The matter becomes worst when a song plays along, which exactly describes your feelings. The song which was a slow bollywood number, suddenly starts sounding so meaningful!

Well that’s when I say,” Take a chill pill yar! , and STOP THINKING!” .
If you are literally out of your mind, and have no control over your thought process, do what you like most! Play, dance, sing loudly, run, drive (Mind it! Not Drink and Drive!) Or at least you can do is have a bath, that I suppose may keep you busy for a while! :P
And if you are a creative person start writing! The best poems comes out of worst emotions. Now it’s all up to you ..If you want to use your thoughts, feelings, emotions bring a dynamic touch to it, or sit in a corner and ponder over your poignant thoughts.

Discover yourself, stop wasting your time, don’t drink down those thoughts, emotions and erupt abruptly. Instead suppress them, abdicate them, or atmost redirect this energy somewhere else, for the purpose of good, your good.

My Childhood. . .
I slept in childhood of my life
My eyes shut to dark world
Under the covers of the veil of mom
In the protective arms of dad
Not a bad thought rung through my ears
Every bit around looked cheerful and glad
The sun shown brighter by day
The night would come alive to twinkle
The altitude of esteem
Was the height of swings
The only loss suffered
Was in low marks and grades
The agitation aroused only to win a race
The unpolished shoes would bring disgrace
Pride was in having a pencil
With a rubber at the end
Worry was when a crayon we had to lend
Good day was getting an extra candy from a friend
Bad day was hearing ‘katti’ from her

Scary were the boogeyman stories
And the darkness where he lurked
Though never ever seen by me
To make me eat my supper it always worked
Adventure was buzzing through the roads
Upon my own cycle gifted by dad
Rain was meant to bathe one more time
To make paper boats
And to bring out that funny sound with wet shoes
And laugh it away merrily and happily
Love was a tight hug
And sleeping on the lap of mom
Seeping down slowly to her
Melodies, songs and lullabies

Love was one more chapatti,
Some more rice
Pampering me through teds and toys
Courage was to say out the marks to mom
And promise to get better next time
Pain was a wound on the knee
Cry was when mom would be away for some time
Fear was to be without her
Even though there were
Many to take care
But I searched for her everywhere
Saying, “mumma k pas jana hai”
That was my childhood
Preserved and preached in dreams
Now I have been woken up
To be beyond the other side of veil
Sometimes I just ask her,
“Mumma, can I sleep for some more time?”
And She brings down the veil of sleep
Same way as she used to then
But this time only
To wake me up again
Not in the repository of childhood
But with eyes wide open
Out to the dark world.
