To Be A-Friend or Not to Be ?

Remember how as kids we would stop talking to a friend if he or she argued with us, strongly disagreed with our opinions, or simply put us off? We are still the same, only more subtle in our approach.

We stop being our complete selves in front of them. We stop revealing ourselves, thinking they would not understand or misunderstand.

PC : The Artidote

It is sad to lose a part of somebody like that   it is sad to witness a shift in their behavior. More so, it is sad to realize that it won't be the same anymore between you and them.

So, can things reverse?

Well it depends upon you and them, and which one of you is willing to give up the mask of ego and face the other. May be you could be more accepting of how you both are different, never-mind right or wrong.

In some cases, time might heal everything, so chill.

Time Is Up

How subtle is this time
It relieves itself
Every hours every minute every second
From the burdens of past
I hear it say that the minute minutes are not long
Jumping between numbers
Testing human patience from point to point
A tick-tock of delay
And it hears you whine
In between spaces
It fills the sheer void
It knows no stopping
Yanks the moment to start, to end
Effortlessly
It deceives its followers
Into thinking there is more of time
Pulls down the curtains
Gently, reminds all
Time Is Up

Out Of The Box

Within the box of the world
I speak up the truth
Deduced from a million shreds of my mind
That which went through the circle
And came back learning and seeking something
New, raw and appealing.
Hit by the afterthoughts,
Buffeted by the obligations of world
Forced frozen perceptions
Blinded by the clichés
I follow, you follow, every day
Building my dynamite, locked in the head
Closing the eyes and trying to forget
My visions and dreams burgeoning
Left alone with weak tendrils
Visitors in and out of the box
Whisper strange things—hold and lift you up the ground
Then, let you lose to go down, you drown
In the quicksand of their company
Pictures hung on your wall
Sing a perfect short story
Bygone days, they repeat with repent
Of those who came in and, then, left the box
I strive for life beside them
In the perpetual playground
Blindly following the sun and the moon
The box opens to new, yet, I am nowhere
The morning came as the sun rose again
But, who stayed through the night paved their own way
Repeating the journey, I assure you will too
Next time, traveling in a different land
Shut not the box close
Climb out and breathe

Twinkle Twinkle little star; How I wonder what you are

"I am twinkle, a star..I let myself be, away from the cluster of stars that are moving away at immeasurable speeds. I am bright magnificent, burning within and brightening out. You see me twinkle high up there beside my companions but there are distances between us light years apart. I am alone but I glitter, I shimmer. I am the proud owner of my gas and dust. But 20 million years has passed, and I hear nothing and bear solitude. A little star had zoomed past before that brief time. Tinkle I still remember its name. It had asked me to join it for an adventure across the milky way. A Puny phase of dust I had told him. It was! A dust ball, shining just because it was too near me and I knew it would glow low once it was away. And what for should I lose my shimmer, my iridescent self, I had thought then."

"But for these 20 million years, I stayed and glowed but I thought if my burning alone was worth. My planets, my own children needed me but even they are no more now, and what shall I give life out for, my shine for. I wish sometimes I could zoom like tinkle and travel across these dark distances that I watch in wonder."

"Oh wait! Did I see it? Tinkle!! Is it you again?"

"Hey! Ya I move on and off this orbit, anyways I have to glide away so bye, may the stars of stars watch over you"

"Hey no wait! I am exhausting now, I want to see the world before I run out of my gas. I apologise for being pumped up with pride. I realise now, I am the same gas and dust as you are. We are from the same big bang. Please accept my apology and take me away. Let me see the milky way, let me pass across the darkness around me, take me to light , take me across the quasars about which you mentioned last time. I want to see the universe."

Tinkle radiated back even more than Twinkle this time.
"I forgive you Twinkle, come buddy, shed off the nebulae of your pride and ego, let out your fire and die like a hero through adventures of the space."

Twinkle is still there in the space and lives through the dust that always stays in between those dark distances

Death and Deceased

If I believe that death be so beautiful
And the dead oh so powerful
Truth says none could ever escape the latter
And none would affect the very former
Erased by time if dead is now
Then what shall cause it to pain and bow
What shall cause it to gloom and doom
How shall glee matter?
If it ends too soon

Death, you say, no don’t say too loud
Afraid that it might come about
Undefeated and invincible
Unexplained and inevitable
Wonder then why so beautiful?

To devoid you off what you suffer
Be not afraid O’ brother
It takes your pain away
Frees your soul lets you sway
Frees your mind off your similar kind
In infinity as you lay

Descendants of star, here we are
We stay chained by shackles of time
Stained with the worldly regime
Don’t you want to be free?
O’ brother! Death welcomes you and me

We are her children
She made us run, have fun
We now need to return
She will protect us from hell forever
For we would never have to suffer

The world is a bad place they say
Death be our friend anyway
Dead be a state so fulfilling
Like a mother and her child embracing

On the Wings of Time

There are pathways laid to follow
And trails to go on to
There are ways in the labyrinth
And then there are you

Just taking me somewhere
Holding my hand gripped tight
I think I didn’t stare around
It is just you fixed in my sight

Through the bustling roads we move
Across the buses and cars, their honks
Time that is waiting to happen
I stopped it all for you
Until I mind the ticking bacon
And spectator eyes, a few

Those songs that escape the lips
Were In rhythm of the heart that beats
   Slow though quiet but steadily
  Breaking the rules, that miscreant

And off I go, am being taken
Gliding like a dragonfly
Speeding across the space and time
My own rules I defy

Just settle down with rain

Settling down with rain
Into the puddles, stagnant and calm
Where even the ripples whisper
Into a melodious song

Through the filters of space and time
Being benign in every manner
Molding into the best
With all the peace to gather

Like icicles smooth yet sharp
Slowly formed out of cold
Glittering in the light of dawn
To fathom the self not sold

Risen from the dark and deceived
Hailed from the altitudes
Silvery, washed by the mercury
Ending all up in subdued

Strife marks its end
Tranquility and peace stand duel
The gold lies beneath the chest
The ink gets tainted to quill

The words come out as river
From the peninsula to the wide
The beds have shells and pearls now
No meaning in disguise

Purity speaks and shines in white
When the sun burns out to speak
And the lilies blossom and please the eyes
Once when ceases the bleak

And so shall on, so shall forth
Given the love a chance
Humble dances with honest
Devoid of constraints in stance

Yearn for letting go,
Holding on gives birth to pain
Look through the window
For let it not be stained
Just settle down with rain

Just settle down with rain.
