Remember how as kids we would stop talking to a friend if he or she argued with us, strongly disagreed with our opinions, or simply put us off? We are still the same, only more subtle in our approach.
We stop being our complete selves in front of them. We stop revealing ourselves, thinking they would not understand or misunderstand.
It is sad to lose a part of somebody like that — it is sad to witness a shift in their behavior. More so, it is sad to realize that it won't be the same anymore between you and them.
So, can things reverse?
Well it depends upon you and them, and which one of you is willing to give up the mask of ego and face the other. May be you could be more accepting of how you both are different, never-mind right or wrong.
In some cases, time might heal everything, so chill.
