In this moment I fill up my vessels
From the river whose sources are many
Into the water I dip my pots
And try to collect what all can be
I travel a long way back
To reach my roots to the farther side
From where I come to where I am
Distances never defined my rides
The sun is high; my pace is slow
The pots I carry are too much a load
Yet I walk, hands gripped around the pots
Satisfied, I travel on the right roads
As I reach the site, finding my respite
The load I carry seizes to be
I turn around and find my pot
Leaking all the way, dripping beneath
